The promo doesn’t even feature the film’s main lead Imran Khan; rather there is a shabby man.
The trailer starts with the baritone of Amitabh Bachchan; the voice introduces the movies made by Aamir Khan’s production house since Lagaan, and suddenly a strange-looking man comes to the picture who is inside a dingy, dirty lavatory, farting. Does it sound yucky! The teaser also signifies the true meaning of the term ‘Delhi Belly’- diarrhea experienced by travelers in a foreign country, who are not accustomed to the local food and water. Well, the movie’s trailer is getting positive and overwhelming response from people. The movie buffs and fans now can’t wait till 1st July, when this adult comedy will hit the theaters.
Delhi Belly is into making since 2008 and its post production work apparently got stopped because Aamir Khan couldn’t concentrate on it due to other projects. The movie stars some known and unknown faces like Shenaz Treasurywala, Kunal Roy Kapoor, Vir Das and Poorna Jagannathan.

Lara Dutta launching her own range designer shoes: Lara Dutta has added one more label to her resume. The actress, who is getting married to tennis star Mahesh Bhupathi next month, is gearing up to launch her designer shoe line soon.
Says a source close to Lara, "After the success of her fitness DVD, Lara is now preparing to launch her own range of shoes. Mahesh is very encouraging and supportive of Lara's decisions and has been sharing his own business expertise with her. She had shown some designs and samples to him and he encouraged her to take it up on a more serious level and launch her collection." Adds an insider, "Mahesh is impressed with Lara's eye for detail and talent. Work is in progress on the shoe launch and Lara is working on it. Lara is planning to launch it by the end of this year."
The source adds that Lara is tight-lipped about the details, "It's still too early to talk about it, but the designer shoes will be high-end, expensive and limited edition line. It will be all kinds of shoes - from ladies' casual to formal wear including stilettos and sandals, and sports shoes. Lara is personally looking into the concepts and designs."
Apparently, the actress will go for a tie-up with an existing international footwear brand, "She has been talking to a few brands for the tie-up. Globosport (Mahesh Bhupathi's company) is marketing it on her behalf and talking to the various shoe brands. Once the shoe brand is locked, they will figure the extent of Lara's involvement and participation in the whole project."
Aamir Khan feel so proud on her wife Kiran Rao: Tonight, Aamir Khan returned to Toronto where he sat down with CBC’s George Stroumboulopoulos for a one‐on‐one interview. The two discussed everything from Aamir’s latest film Dhobi Ghat to the changing face of Hindi films. “I fell in love with the script...and I fell in love with her once again.” Aamir said lovingly of his wife Kiran Rao and director of Dhobi Ghat. He went on to talk about the film explaining that he was sucked in from the very first scene. “I feel so proud of Kiran,” he blushingly revealed. If anything is understood about this man, it’s that the mention of his wife brings a smile to his face.
Aamir was very honest on the show, explaining that he not only thinks in English, but he has never read a book in Hindi. He also said that he has a lot of influences in him that are not purely Indian, which happens when growing up in a big city. Much of the interview brought out a very candid Aamir, which we are rarely privileged to see.
When asked about the changing face of Indian cinema, Aamir made it clear that Hindi films are just one facet of Indian cinema, among films made in 22 languages across the country. He also tried to define today’s mainstream cinema. “What is mainstream cinema? No one can define it.” Adding to this, he explained that the young filmmakers of India are making films that are breaking molds. We completely agree. Go see Dhobi Ghat. You’ll agree too.
Income Tax officers finds Shahid Kapoor in Priyanka Chopra's home: Income Tax officers, who went to raid Priyanka Chopra's home yesterday morning, were in for a surprise when they were greeted by Shahid Kapoor clad only in his shorts.
"If I woke up as Priyanka Chopra one day, I would wonder what I was doing in Shahid Kapoor's bedroom and then walk over to my flat in the next wing," actor Shahid Kapoor had famously said on a popular chat show barely a month ago. Little did he know that the statement would come back to bite him. For a moment, they thought they had knocked the wrong door. Apparently, Shahid left the house soon after.
"Shahid was at Priyanka's house, but he didn't open the door. She has servants, so why would he open the door? Shahid had spent the night at Priyanka's place and she had come from walking the ramp at a fashion show for Shabana Azmi. The two are trying to spend as much time together before Priyanka starts the promotions for her movie Saat Khoon Maaf," said a source close to Shahid.
"Shocked as we were, we knew we had a raid to carry out and that's precisely what we did. It was meant to be a swift operation and security personnel in the building were not given a chance to warn the actor that we were on the way up," said an I-T official.

New Republic Day National Anthem released by BIG Cinemas: BIG Cinemas has released a new national anthem video shot in sign language and enacted by children with a hearing and speech impairment across its theatres on the occasion of India’s 62nd Republic Day.The special video, directed by Amit Sharma of Chrome Pictures, has been made in association with the Mudra Group. “The new video, which will be played in theaters before each movie screening, has been released to reinforce the thought that patriotism knows no language,” says Bobby Pawar, chief creative officer, Mudra Group.
“Our idea was to use the anthem to make people do more than just stand and sing, but make them feel a little differently about their country and while driving home a strong message about unity in diversity. The idea is centered on the thought, ‘patriotism knows no language’ and it is brought to life by hundreds of special kids singing the national anthem with their hands,” Pawar said in a press statement.
The director says it was very challenging to work with special children on the silent video.
“What appealed to me most was the challenge this idea posed at me as a filmmaker. It needed to be handled very sensitively without losing out on the impact. I went and met these kids and was really touched by the spirit they showed. So, I decided not to use any actors but got these real special kids to do,” said Sharma.
Anil Arjun, CEO of Reliance MediaWorks, said: “This silent National Anthem is an evocative and moving expression on patriotism and we hope that our patrons across India and world would be able to identify with this unique composition.”
Kajol very happy after Padma Shri: She has been honoured with Padma Shri now and Bollywood actress Kajol, who is among this year’s recipients of the India’s fourth highest civilian award, is on top of the world.
"It’s an honour and a pleasure when you are selected for the Padma Shri and I thank all those who thought me worthy of it. I am very, very happy with the way this year has started," Kajol told us.
