Ajay Devgan's 'Tezz' opens poorly at Box office!: Every last trace of the anticipations riding on Priyadarshan's activity flick Tezz have been solidly dashed with the film falling flat to draw footfalls to theatres in its opening weekend.

Starring actors like Ajay Devgan, Anil Kapoor, Kangana Ranaut and Sameera Reddy, the film opened to a tepid reaction on Friday from the crowd. The film did business of a meagre Rs. 3.5 crore on its opening day, a shockingly easy figure for a multistarrer riding elevated on buzz. Tragically, the business didn’t pick up on Saturday and rose just insignificantly to Rs. 4 crore on Sunday.

Totting up the figures gives us the opening weekend total of Rs. 11 crore for Tezz, which is course beneath the mark. As a matter of fact, the film is even now being named as the largest flop of 2012.

The discriminating reviews for Tezz have chiefly been negative and the group of onlookers reaction to the film wasn’t extravagant either.

Additionally, the little-plan film Vicky Donor, starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Yami Gautam has risen triumphant. It adjusted off its first week with a collection of Rs. 14.5 crore and united a different Rs. 7 crore to its kitty over the second weekend at box office. The film's ten-day collection is effortlessly over the Rs. 20 crore mark and it may do a lifetime business among Rs. 25 crore to 30 crore. A HIT.

Similarly, Hate Story, released on April 20, has kept its ground and built a nice Rs. 11 crore. There's a shot of it touching the Rs. 15 crore mark.

The impending Friday could see the discharge of Jannat 2, starring Emraan Hashmi and Esha Gupta. Given Hashmi's pull at the box office, the film might as well get a great opening.
Sanjay Dutt & Ajay Devgan's 'Rascals' opens good at box office: Rapscallions, starring Sanjay Dutt and Ajay Devgan as several conmen, opened well at the case office with its discharge on Dussehra, on Thursday.

The film saw a confined discharge but figured out how to rake in a nice accumulation of Rs. 7.5 crore on the opening day. As the discharge grew on Friday, the accumulation is likewise looked for to climb. With everything taken into account, the picture is witnessing the inhabitance of around 60 to 70 percent. In its four-day weekend, the film is anticipated to touch or even cross the Rs. 30 crore check, this regardless of not-so-complimenting overviews from the pundits.

Additionally, the different a few discharges of the week, Love Breakups Zindagi and Soundtrack had a lukewarm begin on Friday. Of the a few, Love Breakups Zindagi, starring Dia Mirza and Zayed Khan, fared to a limited extent preferred but the number of footfalls isn’t totally empowering. Soundtrack had few takers on the opening day.

The final week's discharge Force, starring John Abraham as an opiates officer, adjusted off its first week with a gathering of Rs. 21.5 crore. The motion picture's accumulation is reasonable to plunge in its second week and its persistent business would not be able to cross Rs. 27 crore.

The following Friday could see various discharge: Mujhse Fraaandship Karoge, Azaan, Mod, My Friend Pinto and Jo Dooba So Paar-It's Love In Bihar!.
Ajay Devgan to pair up with south actress Kajal Aggarwal: There is a new Kajal in Ajay Devgan’s life! Director Rohit Shetty has started working on the Hindi remake of the south film Singam with Ajay Devgan, and he has roped in the hit south actress Kajal Aggarwal to pair opposite him.

What worked in Kajal’s favour? She is quite a popular name down south and also she has got dates to give for the project. Initially, Rohit was keen on Anushka Shetty, who starred in the original opposite Surya. But since she was busy with other projects, Kajal was approached and she lapped the opportunity.

However, this is not Kajal’s first Hindi film. She was also seen in a small role in Kyun Ho Gaya Na where she played Aishwarya Rai’s friend.

Rohit liked her in Magadheera which is one of the biggest Telugu hits of 2010.
Saif and Kareena shouldn't get married: Ajay Devgan at Koffee With Karan: Ajay Devgan is a happily married man but when he was asked to give some marital advice to Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan, the actor said the couple shouldn’t get married. The incident happened at the ‘Koffee with Karan’ show where the host of show Karan asked the question during his famous ‘Rapid Fire round’.

Karan has been trying to get Ajay on his couch for the last two seasons and succeeded only this time around and the Golmaal actor has been nothing less than a riot and a shocker at the talk show. He has gone on to give some amazing answers at the show and without an iota of shyness Ajay gave the advice of Saifeena not to marry.

Well the media houses and the tabloids have started speculating the reasons on why Devgan decided to impart that kind of advice when he is married to Kajol for over a decade now. A source says that there is not much to read in what Ajay said as it was just part of fun and nothing serious into it.

But knowing Karan Johar, will he let such a remark pass-by just like that without prying into getting some more details about it, only the show can divulge more, since none of the
celebrities associated with the comment responded when asked. Even SOL’s managing director Fazila Allana, the show’s producer declined to comment on Ajay’s advice to Saifeena.

One thing that everyone says that Ajay was a blast at the talk show and in spite of being the sole guest, the episode is going to be an amazing one.
Child within every man that's why 'Dil Toh Baccha Hai Ji': They say men never grow up and filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar is exploring this pyche of men in a humorous way through his new romantic comedy 'Dil Toh Baccha Hai Ji' releasing Friday.

Starring Ajay Devgan, Emraan Hashmi and Omi Vaidya, 'Dil Toh Baccha Hai Ji' is the slice of life movie that talks about three men and their encounters with love. Shazahn Padmasee, Shruti Haasan and debutante Shraddha Das will play their love interests respectively.

Naren Ahuja (Ajay) is in his thirties and is going through divorce. While nursing his broken heart following a failed marriage, Naren meets vibrant and bubbly June Pinto (Shazahn) and can't stop himself from falling in love with this young girl.

Milind Kelkar (Omi) is a naive poet and idealistic lover. He develops a liking for an ambitious and practical Gunjan Sarkar (Shraddha) who is determined to follow her dreams.

But Abhay (Emraan), a charming casanova, is different. His mantra in life is money and women. But his life too takes a turn after an encounter with Nikki (Shruti), a modern girl who knows her needs and speaks her mind. He too experiences love, an emotion he had always stayed away from.

According to director Bhandarkar, the film is a funny take on love, with real-life relatable characters, and shows to what extent people would go to achieve it or avoid it.

Bhandarkar is known for making hard-hitting and realistic films like 'Chandni Bar', 'Fashion' and 'Jail' which garnered critical acclaim as well as box office success.

'Chandni Bar', starring Tabu and Atul Kulkarni, depicted hardships of women working in dance bars, while 'Fashion' explored the glamorous but dark world of modelling. The film starred Priyanka Chopra in the lead.

His last outing 'Jail' put the spotlight on cruel realities faced by prisoners in jail. Although the film didn't do well at the box-office, it was indeed applauded by critics.

With 'Dil Toh Bachcha Hai Ji', Bhandarkar attempts to move away from serious cinema and take the audience on a laughter ride. However, the filmmaker is adamant that his stamp and signature style will be evident in the film.

Just like his director, Emraan, known for playing edgy roles in 'Murder', 'Gangster - A Love Story' and 'Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai', is trying comedy for the first time.

Omi has expectations riding high because this is his second release after blockbuster '3 Idiots' and the actor admits this has been a challenging role for him as he plays a Maharashtrian and he had to ensure that his accent is perfect.

Last year brought a mixed response for Ajay's films. While 'Golmaal 3' and 'Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai' and 'Raajneeti' were hits, his home production 'Toonpur Ka Superhero' and 'Aakrosh' failed to impress the audiences.

Ajay hopes to start the new year on a good note with 'Dil Toh Baccha Hai Ji', which is the solo release this week.
Shazahn Padamsee's confidence rise up after work with Ajay Devgan: She is a novice; he is a veteran. She is just 22; he is 41. Shazahn Padamsee was apprehensive about matching up her performance with Ajay Devgn, whom she romances in Madhur Bhandarkar's first comedy Dil Toh Baccha Hai Ji, but says her "zero confidence" level shot up when he praised her acting skills.

"When I met Ajay sir for the first time...I wasn't nervous, but I was just hoping that there were no complaints. I felt so junior suddenly...and it was like 'My god! I am working with someone so talented!' Shazahn told IANS over phone from Mumbai.

"I just hoped that I could impress him with my talent. So, when at the end of the shoot he came and patted me on the back and said: 'Well Shazahn Padamseedone!', my confidence level went from like zero to 100."

In Dil Toh Baccha Hai Ji, Shazahn plays June Pinto, "a happy, bubbly young girl who is child-like, very cute and innocent". The film will release on January 28.

The actress said it was simply "inspiring" to be around Ajay, who has been active in showbiz for the past two decades.

"I remember watching him in Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam and his performance was so good. He was so awesome in Raajneeti. Ajay sir chooses his films so carefully and all of them are so different, because of which he is among few actors who are not typecast and that's what I love.

"The journey that he has taken in his career is so inspiring because he is not someone who says 'I am an action guy' or 'I am the lover boy', he is someone who does so many different roles. That, for someone new like me, is very inspiring and one feels to be like him," she said.

Shazahn, daughter of noted theatre artiste Alyquee Padamsee and singer Sharon Prabhakar, loved being in Ajay's company not just because she got to learn a lot from him but also due to his sense of humour.

"People think Ajay sir is a very serious kind of person, but he is not so! He is very witty. Many people know that my dad has a very good sense of humour, very tongue-in-cheek, very sarcastic. And I found Ajay sir very similar with the tongue-in-cheek humour.

"I love people who are funny, so I loved being on the sets because he would always keep me in splits," she said.

For a girl as young as her, the box office fate of her debut Hindi film Rocket Singh - Salesman Of The Year, in which she had a blink-and-you-miss role, could have shaken her confidence. But Shazahn has no regrets.

In fact, she is more than happy that she has got the chance to work with formidable names like Ajay and Bhandarkar so early in her Bollywood career.

"I think if I wouldn't have done Rocket Singh, I wouldn't have got Dil Toh.... In life, everything happens for a reason. I don't believe in living with regrets, it's quite a waste of time. I am a super-optimistic person and very positive. It was my first film; so it will always remain special.

"Butm, of course, Dil Toh... has been a great learning experience. I just adore Madhur sir. For a newcomer it is very comforting to have someone who believes in you - and it was very satisfying to know that Madhur sir, who is such a big name in the industry, believed in me. He was confident that I have the potential to do a role opposite someone as big as Ajay Devgn in his film," she added.
