Madhuri Dixit says NO to Anil Kapoor for his next film!: Madhuri Dixit refused to play mommy to Anil Kapoor’s daughter Sonam in the desi remake of Mark Water’s film Freaky Friday.

Said a source very close to Madhuri, “When Anil Kapoor offered her Sonam’s mother’s role Madhuri was in two minds. She felt hesitant about playing mother to a girl in her 20s.

At the same time, Madhuri also felt awkward about turning down Anil’s offer, an actor with whom she has shared a very warm relationship in the past. So she decided to first watch Freaky Friday.

But yesterday Madhuri decided that the role would not suit her, especially after her last abortive attempt at a comeback in Aaja Nachle. Many protest posts were put up on a social networking site against Madhuri playing mom to Sonam.”

Says Madhuri’s Indian business manager Rakesh Nath, “After much thought Madhuri has decided not to do the Indian remake of Freaky Friday. She will inform Anilji about her decision as soon as he returns from South Africa.”

'Hostel' Movie Preview in an one eye: Anyone who’s been to college, or even to a boarding school, has witnessed ragging. Sometimes, what begins as banter turns into something altogether ugly when ragging is taken to an extreme. Director Manish Gupta’s film Hostel tackles this theme.

It is a film about a student played by Vatsal Seth who enters a notorious hostel and is ragged by his seniors. It's not just about one incident but a string of incidents. It shows how students are tortured and harassed in the name of ragging.

Hostel stars Tulip Joshi as Seth’s love interest. Mukesh Tiwari plays a supporting role.

Director Manish Gupta, known for writing hard-hitting scripts like Sarkar and The Stoneman Murders, says about Hostel: “There are many suicides that occur in Indian hostels due to ragging wherein students are beaten up, stripped, paraded naked, starved, tortured, molested and even raped by their seniors. Since victims of ragging find it humiliating to report sexual abuse to their parents or others, most ragging-related crimes go unreported. HOSTEL deals with the serious issue of ragging and through this film I want to show the world what actually a victim of ragging goes through.”

The film has music by Virag Mishra.

‘Hostel’ will release on January 14.

Kangana Ranaut feel sick after smoking pot: Kangana Ranaut was game for shooting a scene in which she was supposed to smoke a fake joint. Little did she know that the joint had real pot.

In the upcoming comedy film Tanu Weds Manu, Kangana plays an absolutely bindaas girl who drinks and smokes with abandon. For a scene she was supposed to roll a joint and inhale from it. However, unknown to her, some members of the film’s crew put real marijuana (gaanja) in the joint.

And after canning just a few shots, in which she had to inhale repeatedly, Kangana’s head began to spin. She complained of feeling sick and before anyone could know what to do, she threw up.

Yes, the dizziness from the joint made her puke.

So sick did she feel with pot kick that Kangana didn’t even wrap the day’s shoot. The smoking scene was shot later and this time no one dared to spike her joint.

Most Desirable Stars of 2010: Hrithik Roshan and Katrina Kaif: Do you desire the 'Greek God' look of Hrithik Roshan and the zing that Katrina Kaif brought in with “Sheila Ki Jawani”, at least India does. In the online voting carried out by the National Daily ‘Times of India’ and the channel ‘Zoom’ over 3.1 lakh votes were registered and India has decided to confer the tile of Most Desirable Man of 2010 to Hrithik Roshan and Most Desirable Woman of 2010 to Katrina Kaif.

The poll showcased top 50 Men and Women in their respective categories and Katrina Kaif seemed pretty comfortable staying at the numero uno slot for the consecutive second year. The beautiful Aishwarya Rai Bachchan had to be satisfied with the number two in the list and following her in number 3 is Priyanka Chopra.

Sexy Deepika Padukone is at number 4 while the actress who brought in the size zero fad Kareena Kapoor is at 5. The chirpy Genelia D’Souza edges past the fashionista Sonam Kapoor as the latter stands at number 7 and D’Souza at 6. Rounding up the top ten of the list of the Women’s category are Bipasha Basu (8) Kangna Ranut (9) and Nicole Faria Miss Earth (10).

On the other hand, in the Men’s category of ‘Desirability List’, last year’s winner Ranbir Kapoor slipped to number 3 and Salman Khan claims the number 2 and Hrithik the number 1. Even 2008 winner John Abraham had to satisfy himself at 5 while Shahid gets a slot above him at 4 with his Kaminey bare act. Shahrukh Khan is at 6 while Akshay Kumar and Arjun Rampal are at number 7 and 8 respectively. Imran Khan and Saif Ali Khan wraps up the top 10 with 9 and 10 positions in the order.

But the top 50 list of ‘Most Desirable’ was quite a stunning one with full of surprises.
Emraan Hashmi's 'Murder 2' is an edgy thriller film!: The serial-kisser of Bollywood, actor Emraan Hashmi has already started shooting for the sequel of one of his most sensual hits “Murder” (2004) and hints that this instalment would be a more “edgy thriller” in which he plays the role of a serial killer.”We have started shooting. Our main schedule will be in Goa. There is quite a bit of work left. I think we will be looking forward to release it this year,” Emraan told us

“We are taking it away from the space people are actually thinking it’s in. It taps the simple angle of lust and all that was there in the first part. But it doesn’t dwell primarily on the area of lust. It takes into more edgy thrill space,” he said.

“Thrill was there in ‘Murder’ but people associated only with the sensuality, probably that kind of boldness. This is bold in a very different way. All the presumptions what media and people have would be probably put to rest when they see the film. We never had films with serial killers. It deals with those different areas. That’s what makes it new and unique,” Emraan added.

Sultry Mallika Sherawat has been replaced by actress Jacqueline Fernandez as the female lead in “Murder 2″.

Emraan is next to flaunt his six-pack abs after actor Aamir Khan, Shah Rukh Khan and Shahid Kapoor, but the actor is quite nonchalant about it.

“I don’t understand that six-pack band thing anyways. I did it because my director said that I need to look tough for a role. I am not obsessed with the pack thing,” he said.
Aishwarya Rai refuses dance with Shahrukh Khan: Last week, Aishwarya did the unthinkable. At an awards function she refused to dance with SRK to Kajra Re. Says an eyewitness, "Shah Rukh had planned a gig around Bollywood heroines over the years and he wanted it to conclude with Aishwarya's performance.

He had planned to dance with her to Kajra Re. But Ash refused. Her argument was that Kajre re was a family song and that she performed the number in Bunty aur Babli only with her father-in-law Amitabh Bachchan and husband Abhishek and that she will not dance to that song with anyone else.

No amount of persuasion from the organisers helped her change her mind. Finally, Shah Rukh had to scrap this plan."

In the past Aishwarya has never been intimidated by any of the three Khans, even if it meant heavy professional losses for her. When she turned down Mangal Pandey, Aamir Khan apparently stopped all communication with her. Thereafter, the only time Ash shared screen space with him was for a fleeting cameo in Dharmesh Darshan's Mela.

Her experience with Salman of course was another story. Ash sent out a press release in 2003 stating she would never work with him again. The release stated, "For the sake of my well-being, sanity, my dignity and the self-respect of my family, I will not work with Salman Khan anymore.

I maintained a dignified silence but he attacked the dignity of my family and me with irresponsible rumour mongering. I stood by him, enduring alcoholism, misbehaviour, and in turn I was at the receiving end of abuse, infidelity and indignity."

With Shah Rukh, Aishwarya's rapport can at best be described as chequered. During Devdas they bonded superbly. But later, Ash was ousted from Chalte Chalte and replaced by Rani Mukerjee after Salman disrupted the first schedule of the film.

Over the years, SRK and Ash were beginning to share a comfort level. But after the latest episode, one wonders if the Devdas duo will ever see eye to eye again.
