'Thank You' Movie Music Review: THANK YOU, this title will surely ring bells for all good and humorous reasons, as it comes from the stables of a filmmaker who has been consistent in delivering out frothy slapstick entertainers. Director Anees Bazmee pitches out another rib-tickler that has all the ingredients to attract footfalls into the theatres.

Ensemble of bankable A-list actors, grandeur of exotic foreign locations, crazy slapstick comedy and to spice it all, it has Pritam's peppy music to make everything notable in days to come.

In Bazmee's flicks music has always been mechanical or situational but still have grounded screenplay to its fullest potential. THANK YOU opens to minimal musical expectations but all the above mentioned features makes it as one of most anticipated musical releases. Can this THANK YOU be another WELCOME surprise for listeners?

Just check this out... It all started off with rehashed version of 'Apni toh jaise taise' ((HOUSEFULL (2010)), a racy 70's dancing track that stole limelight and was instant big surprise chartbusting hit. What is following next is 'Pyar Do Pyar Lo', a sensational 80' disco cabaret hit from Feroze Khan's JAANBAAZ with similar blazing nasal twang of Mika Singh. This soundtrack is amusing 'club-remix' style of disco-tadka with initial similar punch-lines but with hilariously bawdy 'antaras' to create frolicsome feel for varied comical situations. Pritam delivers an above-average funky number that has archetypical 80's disco feel number that should be fuelling out humor quotient. Mika Singh's vocals works perfectly again and so do its chirpy lyrics, it will really be enterprising to see how it works on big screen. 'Pyar Do Pyar Lo (remix)' by Abhijit Vaghani works and it's because it's a quintessentially disco number and added disco-beat fillers zing adds to the zealous dancing feast. It works for its formulaic massy feel and if 'magic' works well in slick choreographic moves or 'tongue-in-cheek' humor then do expect this number to be next big thing on the musical charts.

'Munni', 'Sheila' and now its 'Razia' to create ruckus on floor! Following the guidelines of raunchy 'item-songs' with garish rustic feel, Pritam tries to create decorum with situational sounding 'Razia'. This one comes with more narrative moves and in duet mode with yelling tones of Master Saleem and Ritu Pathak's, varying high and loud. Massy feel galore again in Ritu Pathak's loud-throated voice, it will be again a visual feast type of dancing track that should up all catalyzing commercial prospects by attracting front-benchers. Ashish Pandit's earthen feel lyrics may not be as tangy as one expects but works instinctively with the 'crowd-pleasing' mood of the song. Abhijit Vaghani's DJ antics delivers out another hip-shaking feast in 'Razia (Remix)' with infused African tribal sounds, beat-juggles, electronic fillers and DJ spins, giving it a true disco feel. Bombay Viking magic is back!

Neeraj Sridhar's Indi-Pop days gets a major boost as this time he gets a chance to rejuvenate golden bygone eras of Bollywood with trendy-feel orchestrations in 'Full Volume'. Pritam tries to give this a 'Zor Ka Jhatka' (ACTION REPLAYY) discotheque feel in Richa Sharma's nasal twang with Hard Kaur's emceeing doing extra bit to give it thriving zest. Neeraj Sridhar's enthused singing is the biggest highlight and it gets a strong support of upbeat hip-hop jives, crazy chorals and infectious drumming at intermittent phases, giving it a cheerful outlook. It's effervescently peppy entertainment on ears; its scintillating 'on-screen' display will be adding more colors to this 'livewire' feel song, thanks to Pritam's funky tones and Neeraj's lively singing that makes it happen. 'Full Volume (remix)' is peculiar 'dhol' beat drumming 'club-remix' attribute by Harry Anand that comes with slow-tempo mixing well with voices, chorals with amiable crazy sounds and rhythms, giving it extra hilarious cum amusing tones. A well crafted promotion for this song is highly anticipated!!!

In one of the film awards function, director Sajid Khan mimicked Shabbir Kumar's style of singing and it suddenly transformed into singer's comeback through 'I don't know what you do' in HOUSEFULL (2010). This time it's the specialist Sonu Nigam, also famous for his mimicry singing, behind the mike in mimicking out Shabbir Kumar in 'My Heart is beating'. It's nowhere inspirational to 70's Priti Sagar's sweetly toned track 'My Heart is beating' (JULIE (1970)) but a retro feel route to 60's music. Pritam's composition is huge inspirational lift from 60's Mohammad Rafi hits, preferably from vintage romantic tinge of Shashi Kapoor and Shammi Kapoor evergreen numbers. Like spunky caricatured 'I don't know what you do', it too carries 'teasing-pleasing' musical flair to flare up humor-quotient in the flick. Kumaar's wordings are optimally amusing and gel well with nonsensical comical feel, a witty slapstick hilarious move will carry it to higher limits. 'My Heart is beating (remix)' comes like a vociferous title track with deliriously snazzy 'club-remix' touches, mixing well with the composition. This version is presumed to be tailor made for the ending or beginning titles and should be favorites among film promos and teasers. Finally some serious music that talks melody!

The last attribute of the album comes out in form of 'Pyar Mein', a tenderly paced ballad with strong infectious Spanish flamengo feel. Javed Ali along with Neeraj Sridhar soothes this out in nimble tones, where arrangements belong to Enrique Iglesias style of music with peculiar Spanish guitar riffs, delivering out a somber mushy appeal. The breeziness in intrinsically Spanish musical appeal delivers out spells of romantic mushiness that works out progressively with likable voices. 'Pyar Mein' may not be as sporadically catchy as Pritam's earlier ballads were, but this has creative finesse of chartering out new genre with some quality works.

THANK YOU is reasonably enjoyable massy album that entertains and enthralls. The album may not be the finest from Pritam in recent times but has delivered bountiful of amusing numbers in the form of 'Pyar Do Pyar Lo', 'Razia', and 'Full Volume'. It will be really engaging to see all the stars dancing to its bombastically punched tunes and if things works on big silver screen, then do expect a couple of soundtracks making it big on the charts.
Ranveer Singh on 'bed' with Koel Puri: Actress and chat show host Koel Puri let her couch be a bed for the hot and happening Band Baaja Baaraat boy Ranveer Singh. You want to know the reason? Read on.

Koel wanted have a tete-a-tete with Ranveer on bed rather than her couch, and why! The host explains this excitedly on her blog, “See, every time I told a woman that Ranveer Singh was next on my couch, with a lusty glint in their eyes they shrieked, "You mean Bittoo Sharma? Oh he’s such a cheapie, I want to ravage him"…. Since I had the power to get him where they were dreaming of, I did.”

And did Ranveer enamour Koel with his boyish charm and that sheepish smile?

Koel was completely bowled over, and made others jealous too. The host writes, “As he regales me on my own couch (bed), I get a crystal clear picture of the propositioner who has signs like - YOU WON’T WIN TILL YOU GIVE IN.”

This episode of Ranveer Singh in On the Couch with Koel Puri will be telecast this Saturday. Catch the two on bed:
Madhuri Dixit’s Rs 5 crore demand baffles producers!: Madhuri Dixit has quoted Rs 5 crore to sign a film. This is the amount what the likes of Kareena Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra demand per film.

Many producers were keen to rope in Madhuri Dixit, but the amount she has asked for has left the producers baffled. No doubt that the wonderful actress hasn’t lost her charm even though she is in her late 40s. But isn’t asking for Rs 5 crore an inordinate demand?

Madhuri can get pricey! Her manager Rikku Rakesh Nath confirms this news to a daily and is quoted as saying, “Yes, Madhuri has asked for five crores. We feel she is definitely worth the price she is quoting. She is a superstar with an enviable fan following even today. So, why shouldn’t she ask for what she deserves?”

Agreed that Madhuri was the eyeball grabber for the TV show Jhalak Dikhla Jaa 4 and the makers now want her back for another season. But will the producers in tinsel town cater to her lofty demand? A trade analyst says, “Who will give Madhuri five crores now?” The actress has even declined some offers which required her to do a sister or a mother’s role.

Now, Madhuri is in the USA with her kids.
Imran Khan shy of intimate scene!: He had to get steamy with a sexy gal in a bathroom, but it required Karan Johar’s convincing skills to get Imran Khan’s nod for the scene. Yes, it’s the first time that the actor, who recently got married to his sweetheart Avantika, has shot for an intimate scene for big screen.

Actually it’s a seduction scene: starlet Soniya Mehra goes on a date with Imran in the film Short Term Shaadi, and she wants to get closer to him. She rains kisses galore and she starts unbuttoning him, but he dithers because the idea of a romp in a bathroom cubicle is not what his sane mind approves of. He is a cleanliness freak, an obsessive-compulsive architect who’s fastidious about the correct placement of things. Later, to avoid the ravishing seductress, he turns on the shower and escapes. And this is how the scene, which is quite comical, ends.

According to Shakun Batra, the director of Short Term Shaadi, the inspiration for Imran’s character is Imran himself. She has just included his traits to model the character. The movie also brings on silver screen Kareena Kapoor and Imran as a romantic couple for the first time.

But to us, the character reminds of Ben Stiller from the Hollywood movie Along Came Polly also starring Jennifer Aniston, and we won’t be surprised to see the slight to stark similarities between the two films.
SRK joins Facebook: Shahrukh Khan to continue on the social networking webworld despite the nasty comments that made him quit Twitter. Sooner done than said, Shahrukh is now set to join the mother of all social networking sites, Facebook.

Expect a mad scramble among the FBians to browse the superstar’s wall that will go online on Friday evening at 9 pm Indian Standard Time.

The inauguration will be done with the online premiere of Shahrukh Khan’s documentary on the all-time Indian classic film Mughal-E-Azam. Shahrukh has associated himself with the film to mark its 51st anniversary through a 22-minute documentary.

The idea is not just to pay tribute to director K. Asif’s timeless classic but also to introduce the younger generations to the cinematic masterpieces of yore.

And knowing how Shahrukh shared snippets from his personal life on Twitter, his Facebook wall too would have its shares of peeks into the private world of King Khan.
Kareena-Priyanka catfight - much ado about nothing!: A catfight between two actresses is always a welcome juice for wagging tongues. But the so-called catfight between Kareena Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra may be more of a media projection than an actual fact.

Kareena is famously known to have scorned Priyanka in a comment that insinuated that she doesn’t consider Priyanka an actress. Added to that, her remark about Priyanka’s phoney accent on a chat show did create some fissures in the once workable friendship between the two actresses.

Despite these subtle jibes, both the actresses haven’t taken the comments of the other to heart. At the press meet to announce the launch of the Nikon Coolpix Spring Series 2011, Priyanka, the newly named brand ambassador of Nikon cameras, was asked by a reporter what’s her response to the fact that Kareena doesn’t consider her an actress.

Priyanka was cool and composed in her reply: “Everybody has a right to their opinion. I consider Kareena an actress.”

On the other hand, Kareena, in a TV interview, has said that her comment about Priyanka’s accent was tongue-in-cheek and therefore not to be taken seriously. Kareena even went on to say that Priyanka was a fabulous actress.

That should set the record straight. After all, weren’t Priyanka and Kareena seen bonding like sahelis at an award function earlier this year?
Shahid Kapoor & Priyanka Chopra’s love-hate see-saw!: The emotional see-saw of the love affair of Shahid Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra has got everyone perplexed.

They do...no, they don’t! That’s been the refrain of the babbling tongues speculating if Shahid and Priyanka indeed love each other. Honestly, we have even stopped keeping the count of how many times they have broken up and patched up again, but if the latest rumour sweeping through tinsel town is to go by, the epitaph of their torrid romance can indeed be scribbled this time.

The break-up happened just a few days before Shahid’s birthday in February. Reportedly, the couple had been facing incompatibility issues, this after having been together for a long time. The buzz is that despite all their camaraderie, Shahid and Priyanka continue to remain contrasting personalities, their idea of ideal love being poles apart.

So after many a blow-hot-blow-cold swing in their torrid affair, the duo has finally decided to part ways and, contrary to rumours, Shahid isn’t even trying to woo her back.

Do we see another love story bite the dust! Or do the ashes camouflage the phoenix of their dying but not yet fully dead romance?
Sonam in ‘Dabangg’ remake!: Cashing in on Salman Khan starrer Dabanng! There are going to be two remakes of the Bollywood hit down south, one in Telugu and another one in Tamil. We first heard that for the Tamil remake of Dabangg makers were keen to repeat Sonakshi Sinha, but as the actress has declined the offer, they want Sonam Kapoor to play the character.

Yes, the stylish Sonam in a south film! It’s learnt that the movie’s main hero Silambarasan is urging producers to have Sonam in the film. Though Sonam played a homely girl in her first two films, for her fans she is more a style icon who can carry any damn dress with aplomb. Signing Dabangg remake will also ensure her popularity down south.

Earlier, speculations were also rife that Katrina Kaif might do the role as she has done a few films down south, and even the name of Kajal Aggrawal was doing the rounds. As a source is quoted as saying, “There was also a buzz that the gorgeous South actress Kajal Aggarwal was being considered but Simbu insisted the makers to replace her with Sonam.”

However, for the Telugu remake, the cast is almost final - Pawan Kalyan will play Salman and the Game gal Sarah Jane Dias has said yes to essay the village belle Sonakshi so convincingly played.
Ranbir Kapoor recomends Nargis Fakhri for 'Heer Ranjha': Ranbir Kapoor is apparently so enamoured of Nargis Fakhri -- his Rockstar heroine -- that he is recommending her to Bollywood producers.

We hear Ranbir has asked producer Sajid Nadiadwala to sign Nargis opposite him in the film Heer Ranjha, which, as the title suggests will be an epic love story starring Ranbir as Ranjha. Even as the hunt is on the girl who will play Heer, Ranbir has already set his mind on the lissom stunner from the US.

Ranbir and Nargis bonded well during the filming of Ashtavinayak’s Rockstar, but she may not be able to team up with Ranbir for Heer Ranjha as she is bound by a three-film contract with the production house. Which means, that Nargis is not legally permitted to sign Nadiadwala’s film.

The buzz also has it that Nadiadwala is trying to negotiate with Ashtavinayak to free Nargis for his production, but whether the production house will make a legal exception for Nargis still remains to be seen.
Shahrukh Khan’s ‘Ra.One’ started earning big bucks!: Shahrukh Khan’s big-budget film Ra.One has already started earning big bucks. The film's satellite rights have reportedly been sold for a whopping Rs 40 crore. Yes, highest ever for a Bollywood film. Earlier, Aamir Khan starrer 3 Idiots was sold for Rs 36 crore to a channel.

The release date of Ra.One is not yet confirmed, then too the film was bought for such a humongous amount, and the credit goes to its producer Shahrukh Khan, who is making this sci-fi film on a production scale so large that no other Bollywood film can match up to it.

As a source is quoted by a tabloid, “The film has a huge budget; so obviously, as a producer he wants to make as much money through pre-release distribution avenues.”

Selling the satellite rights prior to film’s release is not new. Last year’s major releases Guzaarish, Dabangg and Tees Maar Khan were sold to different channels for a hefty amount.

Shahrukh Khan has even hired some of the best Hollywood SFX people to work on Ra.One and make the film a technical wonder. Shahrukh plays a superhero in this film that also stars Kareena Kapoor in the lead. In the movie’s title RA stands for ‘Random Access’.
